An Act to continue and amend an Act of the
Fifth Year of His late Majesty, for repairing the Roads from Durweston Bridge
to Caundle Bishop, and other Roads in the Counties of Dorset and Somerset, so
far as relates to the Vale of Blackmoor Turnpike Roads. [30th July 1831.]

Thomas Dashwood of Sturminster (clerk to the trust) reported
There are 22 miles 1 furl of old road and 11 miles 2 furl. of new road through
14 and 7 parishes respectively–
The whole of the old road has been repaired by the parishes since Nov
1837. Whole of the new road repaired by the trustees
12 toll gates on old line and 5 toll gates on new line
The old line of the road has been in the possession of Rev Harry Farr
Yeatman, the mortgagee, since 27th Nov 1837, and is in want of
repair, the bad parts of the new line of road is under repair – no part under
indictment for want of repair.
